The two of them widened their eyes the instant they heard the news. Schiller rushed to the window, then turned back to Natasha and asked, "Are you sure this wasn't arranged by Nick?!"

"How could he possibly do something this risky?" Natasha said. "That's tens of thousands of lives. He's not the military. Even if he went insane, he wouldn't do something like this!"

Schiller calmed down as quickly as possible. After thinking it over, Nick really should not have been capable of doing something like this. His moral standards might have been low, but his stance had always been correct. He stood on the side of human civilization.

The space station could suffer an accident. After all, this was humanity's first attempt, and mistakes were inevitable. But the space station could not be destroyed. If humanity got hit with such a devastating blow the moment it took its first step, it would greatly dampen every country's enthusiasm. It would become much harder to launch similar projects in the future.

Nick only wanted to create a crisis and get everyone to work together to solve it. He was not trying to destroy the world. If such a massive space station crashed into Earth at high speed and landed on land, it might even punch straight through the continental shelf. Then he really would become humanity's greatest criminal.

Schiller took a deep breath, pulled out his phone, and dialed a number. Then he said, "Hello? Clark, look up at the sky!"

This was no time to worry about training or anything else. Stopping the space station from falling came first.
