"Doctor? Doctor? Are you listening?" Clark pressed a hand to his earpiece. He could hear some noisy sounds from the other end, like some kind of machinery running, making the voices impossible to hear clearly, so he had no choice but to call out several more times.
Schiller's sigh soon came through along with his voice. "I'm listening, Clark. How are things over there?"
"The space station is fine. I just wanted to tell you that an unidentified flying object is heading this way. It looks like it wants to dock with the station..."
"An unidentified flying object?"
"More precisely, it's a small spacecraft." Clark looked into the distance in confusion and said, "I'm not very familiar with the kinds of spacecraft you people use here, but there's a symbol on it..."
Clark briefly described the symbol, and Schiller immediately knew it was a Wakandan spacecraft. Still, he told Clark to stay alert. If anything nonhuman came down from that ship, Clark had to eliminate it immediately.
Clark had always been full of energy. Holding up the space station here was getting a little boring, and he had long wanted to stretch his muscles. Unfortunately, several humans emerged after the spacecraft arrived.
"Oh, Doctor, they're human." Clark tried not to sound disappointed as he said into his earpiece, "They look a little frail, like researchers. Should I go say hello?"
"No, don't, Clark. Have you forgotten that you can't appear in front of everyone? Keep an eye on them from the shadows. As long as they don't hurt anyone, let them do whatever they want."
Clark could only agree. He flew high above, using blind spots in their vision to conceal himself, but his super vision let him see everything clearly, and he could hear their conversation as well.
