After learning that the hotel Peter was in might be even more dangerous, Schiller no longer wanted him to keep exploring. Peter would likely be unable to see the many dangers lurking beneath the calm surface and would let his guard down too easily.

Schiller guessed that since the two ordinary people in Rooms 1901 and 1903 had managed to avoid being fully assimilated for so long, there might be people like that in Rooms 1907 and 1909 as well. As long as they still retained their sanity and could communicate, having been here longer than him, they would surely be able to provide more important information.

Near one in the morning, Schiller took his flashlight and left the room. He had no intention of waiting until dawn, because in a place like this, there was no difference between day and night. The monsters of the Cthulhu Mythos system were not afraid of light.

Schiller gently opened the door. The corridor was pitch-black, and the mysterious presence that made the elevator chime had already left. Holding a flashlight in one hand and an unlit white candle in the other, he made his way to the door of Room 1907 as quickly as possible.

He did not knock. Instead, he wrote a few words on a notepad sheet, slipped it through the gap beneath the door, made a faint rustling sound, and then patiently waited for a response.

He had no concrete reason to believe anyone was inside. It was merely intuition. But sometimes, magic required inspiration and intuition.

Sure enough, Schiller soon heard movement behind the door. Another note was passed back to him, written on one of the hotel notepad sheets placed beside the bed. It read, "Whoever you are, leave this place as soon as possible."

"I'm trapped,"
