The two met above the chemical pool, and a clash was inevitable. A Batarang gleaming with cold light skimmed past the edge of the other's mask and lodged straight into the chemical plant wall.
They jumped down from the beams at almost the same time, only to fire their grappling lines at the opposite beams and swing across. As their figures crossed, the red-eyed Batman tried to slice through the other's rope with a Batarang.
The rope deflected the Batarang. Batman flashed a smug grin, and after landing, he shouted, "Ha! Ever since you pulled that last time, I upgraded my rope! You won't get away with it again!"
Both stood at the edge of the chemical pool. Batman looked up at the heroes hanging overhead, and unfortunately, this was not some trick the guy had pulled. The Justice League members were all genuine.
"Forget the others, The Flash. How did you even get caught?" Batman was so baffled that he forgot the current situation and looked up to ask.
"Uh, I dropped a scoop of ice cream, stepped on it, and slipped."
"Fine, you're still adorably stupid. What about you, Martian Hunter? You can read minds."
"The Flash dropped a scoop of ice cream, stepped on it, slipped, crashed into me, and knocked me out."
Batman covered his eyes and had no choice but to look at Green Lantern.
"The unconscious Martian Hunter hit the wall. I went to steady it, but Superman, who rushed over to steady the wall too, crashed into me and knocked me out."
Batman covered his eyes and let out a long sigh before looking at Aquaman.
"After Green Lantern was knocked out, he fell and hit me, so I passed out." Aquaman shrugged.
"And you? Steel Bone?"
"After Aquaman passed out, he knocked
