"Actually, I wasn't really listening." Aquaman said bluntly. "More precisely, I only caught about a tenth of it. I don't have your kind of superpower, so listening wouldn't have helped anyway. I think everyone's a good person."

Batman seemed to smile. He said somewhat helplessly, "I'd prefer to assume that too, but unfortunately, I can't."

"Don't expect too much from my account, either. I was in Atlantis for the past few months and didn't come ashore often. Seabrook is pretty remote, and there wasn't much news from there. I might not have much to say."

"Talking about Atlantis would be good too," Batman suggested. "Vampires aren't good at diving, so there's very little chance they'd harass Atlantis. If things on land go badly, we may need your help."
