Zatanna still came. The very first second she saw Schiller in his current form, she screamed, and over the next two or three seconds, she kept hopping backward for more than thirty feet.

"It's me." Schiller wanted to raise a hand to adjust his glasses, but unfortunately, he had no hands now. He could only bend over the tip of his tail and nudge his glasses up. "I know you're curious how I turned into this, but don't be curious just yet... Could you come a little closer?"

"I..." Zatanna pressed her lips tightly together. "I swear I have no prejudice against snakes, but I really..."

"Fine, then stand there." Schiller did not want to force her. After all, if she ever turned into broccoli, Schiller definitely would not want to get near her either.

"Have you heard of witch Circe?" Schiller asked.

In truth, he did not need Zatanna to explain Circe's background to him, because this witch was a fairly well-known villain, mostly appearing in Wonder Woman comics.

Her backstory had been revised many times, but every version was rather complicated. To put it simply, she was one-fifth of the God of Witchcraft, the former source of magical power, while Wonder Woman Diana was another fifth.

Then Circe thought that if the God of Witchcraft and Diana both died, all that power would belong to her. So she plotted a whole series of schemes solely to kill them both. Naturally, she failed in the end.

For certain reasons, Circe loathed men. She used witchcraft to turn men into animals, then mocked and humiliated them to her heart's content.

Schiller also had some impression of that short Edgar. This guy was another Wonder Woman villain, codenamed Doctor Psycho. He could control minds and read thoughts, though he was nowhere
