Schiller lifted his gaze from the handout and looked at the student who had asked the question. He gently shook his head and said, "Deep analysis requires deep feeling, and it is nearly impossible to feel deeply from a photograph. It is best to examine the actual scene."

If these had been Gotham University students, they would naturally have been fobbed off by that. But everyone present was exceptional, and they immediately detected the note of refusal in Schiller's words.

At last, someone asked the crucial question.

"Professor, I have heard that you are exceptionally skilled in the Psychoanalytic Method. Your empathic abilities must be very strong. Could you show us what a truly deep analysis looks like?"

Schiller sighed helplessly and looked at him. "I already said that trying to sense things from a photograph is nowhere close to deep analysis. But there is no crime scene here..."

Before he could finish, someone began pounding on the classroom door.

The student sitting closest to the door went over and opened it. Another student rushed in, looking anxious, and said, "Professor, Professor Diana and the others found a body in an empty classroom on the lower level. Professor Wayne sent me to bring you over!"

For some reason, Schiller found the scene vaguely familiar. Are we sure there is a person in the basement classroom, not a troll?

It was not that Schiller was unwilling to show the students the wonders of the Psychoanalytic Method. He knew that many of the students present possessed some talent in that area. They were not as gifted as Jena, but among ordinary people, they were still outstanding.

If he could successfully spark this group's interest and let them experience the appeal of the Psychoanalytic Method, he might gain several more excellent graduate students
