Schiller arrived at the door of the classroom where the incident had occurred.
It was a very long corridor, but there were not many rooms, because the entire left side of the floor was occupied by the electrical distribution room. The distribution room was enormous, leaving only three doors on the left: the front and rear entrances to the distribution room, and a door to the storage room.
On the right were two classrooms, one larger and one smaller, taking up two-thirds and one-third of the space respectively.
At either end of the corridor, there was a stairwell on one side and an elevator on the other.
The layout was strange by modern architectural standards, but this was Mercury Base, and a Mercury Base designed by Stark at that. A sky-high technological standard meant that aside from technology, nothing else had really been considered, so the building layout was bound to be a little odd.
More importantly, this place had not been built entirely for living people in the first place. Marvel's main workforce on Mercury was still robots, and most rooms only conformed to machine logic. Machine logic naturally favored straight lines and direct routes, which had resulted in this structure.
The victim had died in the smaller classroom.
By the time Schiller arrived, several professors had already gathered in the larger classroom with another group of students.
This had not originally been a classroom, but a laboratory. The so-called larger classroom was the main body of the lab, while the smaller classroom was an observation room, so there was a pane of glass between them.
From the larger classroom, they could now see into the smaller one. Schiller passed through the crowd and walked to the glass, where he saw a humanoid creature with pale blue skin lying
