Hades's corpse had already gone stiff. It looked as though he had faced some monster head-on, yet had been completely unable to fight back. Still, no matter what, he had fought until his final moment. He was a worthy opponent. The Young Avengers chose not to move his body and instead went around it, arriving behind the throne.
There was a portal leading to the Temple of Mount Olympus. The good news was that it still worked. The bad news was that it appeared to have been opened not long ago. If that mysterious eldest son had truly been released and gone through the portal to the Temple of Mount Olympus, then the Olympus pantheon was likely doomed.
They did not hesitate, passing through the portal as quickly as possible. Mount Olympus was terrifyingly quiet.
Though it was called Mount Olympus, this place was not actually a mountain. It was more like a cluster of temples—or, in Clark's words, a residential complex for gods.
The first thing they saw was a set of floating steps. The Stairway to Godhood rose straight into the clouds, where a vast temple could be vaguely seen. That was Zeus's residence. Behind it stood Hera's temple and gardens, while the temples of the other twelve Olympians, except Hades, were arranged beyond them, all hidden amid clouds and holy light.
The team rushed up the steps and arrived before the gates of Zeus's temple. Zeus was long gone from his throne, and Queen of the Gods Hera was nowhere to be seen either.
Dick and the others did not dare let their guard down. They carefully searched the area and found faint traces of a fight, but they did not appear to have been left by the eldest son. They were clearly different from the wounds
