Hecate had no interest in being the supreme god of all gods. She had developed genuine feelings for Hades, falling sincerely and passionately in love with him, wanting to have a grand, earth-shaking romance with him.

Actually, after granting them power, Hecate could have revealed her true form and demanded that the gods of Mount Olympus worship her and revere her as a deity. Or she could have simply laid it all out: I am the Inspiration King of the River of Heaven. Sacrifice Hades to me, and I will grant you power. Even Zeus could have tied Hades to her bed if necessary.

But Hecate refused. She chose to join the Greek pantheon and focus on dating Hades.
