Peter, who had been toasting bread, quickly turned around and pulled Stark, who was clutching his hand, away from the pan. Stark grimaced at his hand. There were no obvious injuries on it, but that had hurt badly.

"Calm down, sir. Oil splattering is normal. Didn't I tell you to use tongs?"

Stark was miserable again. How was he supposed to know the oil would splatter? It was just a little sausage—why would he need tongs? He had simply squeezed it into the pan straight from the bag, bringing his hand very close to the pan. Even though the splattering was not too severe, he had still been burned two or three times.

Peter sighed beside him. As he turned the sausages in the pan with tongs, he said, "At first, I couldn't cook either. Basically, I ate whatever Uncle, Aunt May, and Doctor Schiller made."

"But later, my aunt got older. She could still make simple dishes, but for things like Thanksgiving dinner, I had to help."

"At first, I had no idea what I was doing and made a complete mess of the kitchen. But later, I discovered a secret to cooking..."

"What is it?" Stark's eyes lit up again.

"I realized cooking is just like conducting experiments." Peter smiled. "You can search for recipes on the Web, then approach recreating the recipe the same way you would reproduce an experiment. It might not turn out amazingly delicious, but it definitely won't taste bad, and it'll be safe."

Stark began thinking, then took out his phone. "Pepper's breakfasts are great, but I think they're a little too bland. I still prefer cheese sandwiches or cheeseburgers. Can I find recipes for those online too?"

"Of course. And you need to look for detailed recipes, where every ingredient is measured
