Schiller understood Nick better than anyone else did. He knew Nick had gone to great lengths to fool Congress, the military, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and all the other factions, all so he could control Pluto's spaceport by himself.
He knew Nick had definitely poured a large portion of the reimbursed funds into that place, but even so, the efficiency was astonishingly high. Schiller estimated that he had been hammering away for three years already. Even with major advances in technology, building a starship hull in three years was still a little too far ahead of humanity.
It couldn't possibly have used only the technology acquired by the Americans. The Eastern countries had definitely contributed as well. Schiller had long known that Neptune was secretly building something too, but considering how wary the Divine Spear Bureau was, he hadn't gone over to provoke them.
Everyone kept their various thoughts to themselves. Nick merely smiled mysteriously and said, "Quick and decisive."
Logically speaking, this starship shouldn't have had any core components—meaning no warp device. No matter how much human technology advanced, it was impossible to develop warp technology within ten years. This thing required not only technology, but materials as well. Even if the Three Great Empires handed you the blueprints directly, you would still need massive amounts of experimentation to match the equipment to your own civilization.
But card games didn't care about such details. The starship Nick had pulled out could warp, meaning it could jump into a battlefield at any time to intervene, rather than remaining fixed in place like other building cards, such as Stark's corporate headquarters, which could only provide certain buffs.
The starship entered the field directly as a building in the Hydra Invasion event. The remnants of the Avengers led by Steve immediately
