Everyone looked around at one another and finally decided to withdraw all their cards from the event and go back to recuperate.
There was no point dragging this out any longer. They currently had no way to deal with those four Head Cards, nearly every skill capable of protecting characters was on cooldown, and the monster still had 70% health left. Even if they took a desperate gamble, it was unlikely they could kill it in one blow. If they kept stalling, they would only throw away their characters for nothing.
More importantly, Schiller had said to retreat. Who would dare not retreat? Anyone who stayed would just be waiting to get swept into the giant ball of yarn.
After everyone withdrew, the rounds continued. But they had no time to fight one another now. They were either refreshing the Shop, healing their own cards, or carrying out late-game fusions and unlocks to raise their cards' stats as quickly as possible.
It might have sounded simple, but it was actually much harder than fighting people, because many Legendary Cards had extremely demanding summoning conditions. Besides needing characters from their own deck, they also required characters from other archetypes.
