As the saying went, one person's bad luck was bad luck, but a group's bad luck was when the fun began.

Batman's mindset had undergone some subtle changes after Superman appeared. Put more plainly, it was probably: "Sorry, buddy, but you have to come see this."

For ordinary people, "this" usually referred to a pile of shit by the roadside, an extremely sour piece of fruit, a firecracker about to explode, and so on.

But because Superman was so powerful, none of those things could really surprise him. With Schiller around, however, it was different. He possessed all of the above qualities at once, only in a vastly enhanced form. Superman might be about to encounter the first prank of his life.

Superman slowly descended onto the balcony of Wayne Manor. He pushed open the balcony door, frowned at Batman, and said, "What's going on? Why did you suddenly call me and then hang up? I thought you were in danger."

Batman merely glanced at him, then walked back and sat down. He hoped Superman could read from his brainwaves the message: I really am in danger, and that danger is standing right in front of you.

Unfortunately, Superman did not get it. He merely studied Schiller curiously. Schiller was studying him as well.

This was not actually Schiller's first time meeting Superman, but it was indeed his first time taking part in an incident involving Superman. The feeling was still quite novel.

No mastermind behind the scenes would want an opponent like Superman, because his strength was simply unreasonable. Almost no conspiracy worked on him. And controlling such a powerful man filled with a sense of justice was extraordinarily difficult.
