"What did you plan to do?" Pride asked. "If your ultimate goal was to investigate the truth behind the plague, then all you needed was to find out what was going on in the mining district. Were you going to make a trip there?"

"I wasn't going." Schiller flatly refused. "Anyone could tell that place was dangerous. I'd built this hospital up just fine—why did I have to go there?"

"So you planned to play a management sim here?"

"That could accomplish the goal too," Schiller said. "If this was a Sacrifice Ritual, and it wouldn't stop until enough people died, then as long as I ran my hospital well and more people left alive, the ritual would never be completed. By then, I wouldn't be the one getting anxious. Maybe The Truth would come knocking on my door."

After saying that, Schiller left Pride's consultation room. He had more or less figured out most of the setting and plot. Now it was time to see who had the stronger strategic patience.

Schiller first returned to Strange's ward. He explained his plan to Manny, and whether she understood it or not, he was going to carry it out.

The plan was simple. Since this was hospital-themed, he would build the hospital properly—and build it big, mobilizing every available resource. Schiller wanted to see whether the plague could kill faster than he could save.

Greed's style had always been simple: too lazy to solve puzzles, unwilling to fight, unable to jump high enough for platforming, and too slow for chase sequences.
