Just as Clark was about to say something else, Diana let out a cry. Then she angrily pointed at the steel-toothed little dog bouncing around on the floor and said, "Why does it have Fire God enchantments on it?! No wonder it could break through my divine-power defense!"
"Because it was modified from parts of a paper shredder!" Bruce said smugly.
"You actually dared to use the Divine Artifact I gave you against me!"
"That isn't one of your lines either, is it?! Wasn't that something the professor used to mutter..."
The moment Batman entered, he saw this scene—everyone who could fly was huddled against the ceiling, while those who could not were either standing on tables or sofas. On the empty floor, a metal slab no bigger than a human palm, lined with sharp teeth, was baring its fangs and glaring menacingly around.
Batman was not good at unexpected encounters, even if the thing he had encountered was merely a phone with teeth.
Half a minute later, Batman and Lex stood side by side atop a table. They exchanged a glance, then looked down at the phone on the floor at the same time.
Bruce, floating in midair, said, "Looks like I need to improve its jumping ability. Lex, do you have any high-pressure springs in your lab..."
