Winter nights came late, but the darkness was deeper too. On nights near Christmas, human dreams were always more changeable. Santa Claus raced through one dream after another in his reindeer-drawn sleigh, bringing people beautiful fantasies of the holiday.
On the top floor of Stark Tower in the dream, Schiller rubbed his chin and said, "I never expected you to memorize such a long speech. And that improvisation at the end was pretty good too..."
"God knows how long I spent memorizing it, and I had to practice my expressions in the mirror too. Do you know how hard that was? It was your plan, so couldn't you just go..."
"Where would I get magical power to give a Symbiote? I'm just an ordinary person." Schiller walked over and sat on the sofa. Watching the two of them discuss it, Stark rubbed his eyes and felt that his moral bottom line was utterly out of place here.
He said, "Is it really okay for you to deceive the Symbiotes' feelings like this? Even if you're helping them in their time of need, did you have to make it so melodramatic?"
"Do you know who the technical consultant for this performance was?"
"Who?"
"Venom. He said Agents of the Cosmos are most susceptible to that sense of mission and responsibility. As long as humanity starts from that angle, we can definitely move them to tears."
Stark asked in confusion, "What grudge does that pile of sludge have against the Agents of the Cosmos?"
"Their grudge is huge. The Agents of the Cosmos were hunting Venom because he dumped shit into the spaceport of the Sulphur Dwarves in Andromeda..."
"But now, their hatred must have been resolved." Strange returned and sat down as well. "Because the Sulphur Dwarves have become the enemy."
