Under the slightly dim lights of the room, a man in a plaid shirt and black-rimmed glasses was hard at work. He hurriedly annotated one document before moving on to another.
Knock, knock, knock.
"Come in."
"Dr. Al, you need to see this." Another man who looked like a researcher walked in and handed him a file.
The man called Al took the documents. In an instant, his eyes widened.
"Why is this happening?! How could the Geothermal Reaction suddenly..."
"We found over 160 probes within a 200-kilometer radius of the detection site. That proves the number of energy pumps has not decreased at all. Such frequent energy activity is making the thermal reactions beneath the planet increasingly intense. If we don't act soon, the planet will break apart!"
Al's fingertips trembled as he gripped the papers. He took a deep breath and said, "Does Rattasa know?"
"They've been working here the whole time. There's no way they don't know. But they said it came from higher up."
"Higher up? Which higher-up? Rao?!"
Al angrily flung the documents onto a nearby table.
Just then, there was another knock at the door. A black-haired woman in combat gear walked in. She looked even taller and more powerfully built than Al, like a born warrior.
"Mr. Al, your geothermal research investigation report is already two weeks overdue. If you don't submit it soon, I'm going to forget why we were stationed here in the first place."
"Usa, you should know better than anyone why I haven't submitted the report. They don't want real data at all. They just want a satisfactory number. How am I supposed to fabricate that out of thin air?"
"What's so difficult about that? Just fill in some numbers. You scientists are such a pain."
"Then look at
