In short, the conversation with Zod ended on a lukewarm note. The main reason was that the purpose of speaking with Zod had mostly been to satisfy their curiosity. The severely injured and captured Kryptonian General had no legitimate Chip to place on the other side of the negotiating table. Whatever happened now had nothing to do with his attitude.
Naturally, there was no chance they would return the ship they had acquired, and they had a perfectly legitimate reason for that. Oliver could not help asking: if they gave the ship back, could Zod even fly it away?
The answer was no. Zod was in very poor condition. The Kryptonite toxins had entered his bloodstream, and a Kryptonian's circulatory system had no way to break down or metabolize the substance.

At present, the only Superman at the Justice League base who could be called mentally sound was the Superman from the Wayne Family Adventures universe. Neither Injustice Superman nor Clark was quite right in the head. Getting either of them to donate blood would be difficult.
Fortunately, Kara from this universe was normal. Although she had no favorable impression of Zod, who had invaded Earth, she would not refuse if she could save his life.
Lex brought over treatment equipment from Luthor Hospital, then made needles out of Kryptonite and began cleansing Zod's blood.
