"League of Assassins..." Schiller murmured.
He had actually forgotten about them. Although Talia was not with Bruce, her father, Ra's al Ghul, had never been one to stay quiet. Besides mercenary jobs around the world, the League of Assassins must have financial backers behind them as well.
Although the organization was called the League of Assassins, they did more than just assassinations. Nor were they a simple mercenary outfit that merely took jobs for money. Ra's al Ghul's ambition could be glimpsed from the League's motto alone—"Justice can only be forged by one's own hands."
For centuries, the League of Assassins had carried out terrorist activities across the globe. To build his ideal world, Ra's al Ghul would never allow anyone to establish a new order admired by all before he did. Brainiac would naturally become a thorn in his side.
So, whether for profit or ideals, he would definitely wade into this mess. Schiller just had not expected them to get mixed up with the Diamond Street conglomerates. From the looks of it, this was not their first time disrupting the market for them.
"I knew that after the explosion, their employers would surely call them back to defend themselves, to prevent the same disaster from befalling them. So I kept a close eye on Diamond Street, and sure enough, I caught them."
Deathstroke sat down in a chair, looked at the clipping board, and swung one leg. "These people have some real skills. They seem to be assassins from the East. Their ninjas come and go without a trace, making them ideal bomb planters."
"No wonder they chose to place unfinished bombs in every subway station and weren't worried that we'd send huge numbers of people to guard them. They knew ordinary people couldn't stop them at all.
