Schiller sat at the card table in the manor, idly playing FreeCell. Victor was calibrating equipment nearby, working as he said, "You really picked the right logistics position. Everyone else is out working, and only the two of us are sitting around."
"If you don't want to sit around, you could go gather some intelligence."
"Forget it. Diamond Street isn't exactly a nice place." Victor checked his watch and added, "Besides, they should be back soon."
"I'm back!" Harley said as she pushed open the manor's front doors. "Good news—they took the bait!"
"Did things go smoothly for the action team?" Schiller asked, turning toward her.
"Of course! Diamond Street is in an uproar, which means the attack on the chemical plants went well. Brainiac's fabricated footage was convincing too. We definitely fooled them."
Schiller nodded. That was not beyond his expectations.
An hour earlier, they had begun assigning tasks.
"Penguin and I will wait for news on Diamond Street," Harley said. "We're both famous rich people, so no one will suspect us going in and out of Diamond Street. We can just say we're there to discuss business."
"The action team is ready to move out too." Pamela waved a hand. "Deathstroke, Killer Croc, and I will each handle one factory. Causing a commotion won't be a problem, but our abilities are completely different from those Ninjas'. We'll probably have to rely on post-production editing."
"No problem," Brainiac said. "I'll immediately provide them with edited surveillance footage. With current human technology, they won't be able to spot any flaws."
"You also need to find a way to let them know what the League of Assassins did with their money," Schiller said. "Have you found a suitable target?"
"I already have. I'm sending him the information now."
