A woman's face suddenly appeared on the electronic screens that had lit up again along Diamond Street. She wore heavy makeup, her mouth like a gaping bloody maw, and her white hair was tied into twin ponytails that kept swaying in front of the camera.

"All right, look at the pile of junk you people made." The voice coming through the screen was somewhat choppy, and it was impossible to tell who she was complaining to.

"Aha!" She suddenly lunged toward the camera, nearly pressing her eyeballs against the lens. Then her eyes rolled around wildly before she abruptly screamed and pulled her face back, saying in an exaggerated panic, "All right, all right! It's working now. They can see me!"

"Good afternoon, Gotham! Uh, I mean, this brand-new Gotham! This brand-new, boring-as-hell Gotham—never mind that. I'm here to tell you that Harley Quinn is here! Hahahahahaha!"

The woman threw back her head and burst into laughter, but suddenly wiped at the lipstick on her lips, leaving a long smear across her cheek. She opened her mouth wide and worked her lips hard, as if she had suddenly become angry, staring into the camera with a chilling gaze.
