"I welcome your arrival on behalf of our universe." Superman stepped forward and shook Clark's hand.
Clark flashed a brilliant smile. "I hope we're not too late. After all, the mess in our universe still hasn't been cleaned up. We left a few people behind to hold down the fort. You don't mind, do you?"
Superman looked past him. Aquaman and Martian Hunter, two of the Justice League's core members, had not come. Only Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Green Arrow were here.
"Where's The Flash? Didn't he come?" Wonder Woman stepped forward and asked.
"He's still on the way," Clark said. "He's a college student and had taken an internship before this. He just got his internship report back recently, so he had quite a few things to deal with. But he should be here soon."
Superman signaled Wonder Woman to step back with his eyes. Wonder Woman seemed rather confused. Even Superman found her stupidity troublesome now.
The Flash's powers were very special, but he was not an especially important figure in the Justice League. Asking about him right away made their intentions obvious to everyone.
Only then did Wonder Woman notice Batman stepping out from behind Superman. She could not be sure whether he was Batman, because he was not wearing a Batsuit. He had come in nothing but a shirt, without even a mask. The face belonging to Bruce Wayne looked exceptionally young.
He walked over with a smile, shook Wonder Woman's hand, and said, "Hello, Wonder Woman. It's a pleasure to meet you. By the way, you're the most unusual Wonder Woman I've ever met."
