Within the Dream base of the Radiance Alliance, Charles sat in his wheelchair, gazing through the floor-to-ceiling window at the streets of the technological city Stark had built. At night, it was beautiful, like a city of neon.
But there was little leisure in Charles's expression. He looked deeply worried. Schiller walked over and handed him a glass of wine. "What's wrong, Professor? You've looked troubled since earlier."
Charles sighed. "Do you remember what happened in Wakanda before?"
"Of course. T'Challa was assassinated and taken by the Panther God Bastet, whom he worshipped, into a special dimension where time was frozen. So the poison won't kill him for the time being. Stark is working hard on an antidote, but progress has been slow."
"T'Challa was attacked, and Erik, the one who attacked him, was captured by you. Wakanda has no leader now. Ororo has already gone to Wakanda, but the situation doesn't look optimistic."
"What's wrong? Isn't she T'Challa's lover?"
"But she's a Mutant." Charles's tone was heavy. "You know Wakanda is a tribal alliance. T'Challa's tribe is the largest in Wakanda. Because T'Challa is relatively open-minded, the atmosphere in that tribe is quite good, and they discriminate against no one."
"But the other major tribes aren't so open-minded, especially Erik's tribe. It is the second-largest tribe in all of Wakanda, and they are extremely hostile toward Mutants. They drive everyone with the X-gene from their territory, not even sparing children."
Schiller took a sip of wine. "We've discussed this issue before. I'm afraid public opinion about Mutants can't be reversed in the short term. It's a long-term project."
"But the problem now is that it may get even worse." Charles looked into Schiller's eyes. "Erik attacked T'Challa, and neither of them can lead Wakanda. Storm, Ororo, is T'Challa's lover,
