Arkham Batman sensed that something was off with Owlman.

The first class that morning was Magic Theory. The professor specifically emphasized that they would be covering something extremely important today: the inscription of magical runes and the guidance of Magic Power. Every Batman was very interested and listened attentively, but Owlman kept getting distracted.

During the break, Arkham Batman turned to Main Universe Batman and said, "What did you do to him? It's only been two days. How did he end up so absent-minded?"

Main Universe Batman pressed his lips together and smiled without saying anything. Of course, he knew why Owlman was so distracted. Owlman thought he had been cursed.

After several days of study, most of the Batmen had gained a certain understanding of magic. Precisely because of that, they knew curses were real—and far more mysterious than they had imagined. Skilled dark mages did not even need much preparation to curse strangers they had never met. All kinds of dark magic curses were dangerous. Some could inflict severe injuries, some could leave people distracted and disoriented, and some could even kill outright.

When Main Universe Batman decided to use the movie set against Owlman, he had already worked out the entire plan.

Ordinary methods would never be enough to lure that cunning, evil bastard into the trap. The mechanism in that Secret Chamber worked well enough in the movie. It fit the intelligence level of the Little Sorcerers who were the film's protagonists and was friendly enough to the audience's intelligence as well, but it was far too simple for Batman.
