Strange had a reason for coming to find the notebook. After yesterday's exchange meeting ended, Chris had called him and lavishly praised the friend he had brought in. But after learning from Schiller that Batman had written it, Strange could no longer laugh.
Batman was indeed formidable, but unfortunately, he could not be used by Strange. In some respects, they were even opposed to each other. Main Universe Batman in particular was an extremely troublesome guy. Strange had already tried his best to avoid dealing with him, lest he fall into one of Batman's traps without even realizing it.
Naturally, Chris would not let the matter rest. He wanted Strange to bring the man in and have him join the props team. Strange said the other man's identity was rather sensitive and that he probably could not come. Then Chris demanded that they hire him to write, and the first piece he wanted was Safir's Notes.
Strange did not particularly want to seek out Batman, so he planned to look through the notes himself and see whether he could write something based on the illustrations. Yet when he arrived, he discovered that the notes were gone.
So he knocked on the school infirmary's door again and asked Schiller, "Where's the notebook that was in the library's Secret Chamber?"
"What?"
"Safir's Notes."
"I don't know," Schiller said. "Could the props team have taken it to film close-ups?"
"Have you read it?"
Schiller nodded. "About two months ago, the assistant director sent us all the supplementary material we needed to read. I looked through it briefly. There wasn't much in it, just some theoretical knowledge about magical defense networks. The most basic kind."
"Chris needs notes in the same style as that illustrated guide." Strange stood in the middle of the room
