Schiller sighed inwardly. He could completely understand why Owlman's train of thought had veered in this direction. After all, it was plain to see that most Batmen could not pull far ahead of one another in learning magic.
Since contracts were not involved for the time being, everyone was using the energy stored in their wands. Controlling energy was not particularly difficult. If there was any threshold at all, it was probably that people with higher intelligence and better coordination found it easier to manipulate energy. But such people excelled in every field, so it could hardly be called a threshold.
Basically, every Batman was that kind of person. Their physical coordination and intelligence were more or less identical. Given the same learning progress, the abilities they mastered would also be the same.
Most Batmen had no objections to this, because simply being able to learn magic was already quite good. Although they knew that once they returned to their own universes, they still would not know where to obtain energy, it was far better than the previous state of fumbling around blindly. Even as a life experience, it was worthwhile.
Thus, there was no situation where Batmen competed over grades and frantically pushed themselves to outdo one another. Many Batmen even enjoyed electives. Even Lucifer's nonsensical Cosmic Construction Theory had quite a few Batmen listening seriously just to broaden their horizons.
Main Universe Batman's faction was not worried either. They already had the advantage. They had repeatedly thwarted Laughing Man and Owlman's schemes, chasing the two of them across the universe. It could be said that they had been beating the evil side into the ground. Magical power was merely icing on the cake.
But for Owlman, the current situation was troublesome. He could not beat the other side
