A gaping, blood-red maw lunged at them without warning. The Batmen scattered at once, only to see a towering plant over four meters tall, with leaves more than a meter across, swinging the enormous mouth at its top as it snapped at them.
Main Universe Batman immediately realized that this was most likely a magical plant the props team had made based on the field guide he had written. In his view, a magical forest could not possibly be that safe; there had to be some aggressive plants in it. So he had deliberately invented several dangerous species and included them.
As for why the man-eating flower had suddenly gone berserk, Owlman had definitely tampered with it. But there was no time to dwell on that now. They had to deal with the plant first.
Running away was a good option, but Main Universe Batman knew this kind of plant could pull its roots out of the ground and chase after them, and it was not slow, either. It would be even more troublesome if it caught up to them. They had to find a way to defeat it.
Fortunately, there were plenty of them now. Five Batmen had come charging in, one of whom was exceptionally good in a fight. And they could do more than throw batarangs now—they could use wands and fly, making it much easier to deal with a towering plant like this.
They were not far from the cabin, so the commotion naturally did not escape Schiller's notice. He knew Main Universe Batman would not have allowed something to go wrong with his own plan, so this had to be Owlman's countermeasure. But did Owlman really expect a magical plant to defeat these Batmen?
Anyone who had fought Arkham Batman would know that was impossible.
