"Oh, I get it. So magical energy is actually universal Aetheric Force. It can be compressed just like other forms of energy, and qualitative changes occur during compression. The movement of electrons within energy itself is a kind of force. There's no need to output Magic Power in a straightforward stream like a mage; you can use certain methods to compress the energy..."
In a room beneath the castle, Main Universe Batman and Arkham Batman were studying Stark's magical energy core.
Stark had formed a magical mechanics research club, and quite a few Batmen had signed up. But Main Universe Batman and Arkham Batman were by far the most enthusiastic. Strange had approved their use of an underground room as their clubroom, though he had warned them not to cause any trouble.
Stark had brought in several suits of armor, expecting praise from the Batmen. Instead, neither of them was remotely interested. The only things that interested them were Stark's plug-in magic cores and the Arc Reactor in his chest.
Between the two, they were more interested in the magic cores. Although they were really just energy-storage devices, the two Batmen had spotted other possibilities in them.
"This material won't do."
"Right. It's fairly compatible with magical energy and prevents energy leakage well enough, but it's too conservative."
"Yes, too conservative. There should be better options."
"What do you think of Crystal Balls?"
"You mean the ones you use to build the magical network? Better than this, but I think there are superior materials."
"Has Doctor Schiller been staying in the magic forest every night lately?"
"That's right. He's probably still teaching Owlman about contracts. We can head over tonight and see if there's any better material."
"What are you talking about?" Stark asked, sitting by the table in his
