Owlman was still somewhat absentminded today. Not even the magical portals could pique his interest, because last night's experience had left him thoroughly frustrated.

Safir had finally agreed to help him contact a powerful Demon God, but summoning this Demon God was no easy task. Safir first taught him an extremely complicated Magic Circle, which Owlman had only managed to memorize after considerable effort. Then, when drawing it, he failed the summoning ritual because he kept applying the wrong amount of force in various places.

He had finally succeeded in drawing the Magic Circle, only for something to go wrong during the meditative communication. No matter how hard he tried, he could not enter meditation, much less contact the Hell Dimension.

Safir repeatedly stressed that he needed to focus. Owlman swore that he really had focused, but aside from some crackling static, he could hear nothing at all.

If there had been no sound whatsoever, Owlman might have suspected that the method was flawed. But when he focused to the absolute limit, he really could hear echoes from Hell and even vaguely see scenes from Hell. He simply could not contact any of the powerful beings within the Hell Dimension.

Faced with this situation, Safir had begun to suspect that he was not suited to making a contract with this Demon God. After all, only someone without talent would keep summoning and meditating without receiving any response.
