The Amazon River basin was not suitable for human survival, but that did not mean there was no sign of human activity here. At the edge of the Amazon rainforest, in areas closer to civilization, scattered tribes had formed a nation together—the Amazonian Tribal Federation.

Even the edge of the rainforest could bring endless shocks and surprises to people who had spent their lives amid forests of steel. Thus, tens of millions of tourists came here by boat every year, and the vast majority of Amazon's people served those tourists and worked in the tourism industry.

Getting into Amazon was no simple matter. One first had to fly to the airport of the nearest country, then transfer to a ship, then a small seaplane, then another ship, before finally reaching Amazon's only dock.

But if one used an unconventional route—the route Batman had taken—then one had to cross over from the other side of the Amazon rainforest. Since the natural conditions were so harsh, Amazon had no defenses along its border, giving people like Batman an opening.

Schiller and Batman walked through dense undergrowth, following a stream downward before jumping from a cliff about twenty meters high. In a crevice beneath the rock wall, Schiller saw the extravagantly designed Batmobile.

It was the one Arkham Batman had built at magic school. It used the same materials as Stark's armor—Vibranium and Meltsteel alloy—and some nanomaterials to reduce the vehicle's weight. More unusually, it possessed an engine that had to be powered by magic.
