Only after the agents under his command took Lex Luthor away did Clark step out from the shadows in the corner of the room. His lashes trembled slightly as he swiftly sized up the Schiller before him.
"What were you talking about just now?" Schiller asked.
"He has a plan," Clark said at once. "He wants to make a body for that Electronic Life, then use a trap to force it to use the body, and finally imprison it inside and destroy it."
"What kind of trap?"
"He'll deliberately clash with the president, use self-defense as an excuse to build a Mechanical Corps, then arrange for something to happen to his sister. That will force the Electronic Life to control one of the mechanical bodies to save her, and then he'll lock it inside."
Schiller paused for barely a second before turning and heading out. Clark called after him, "Where are you going?"
"Back to base, then I'll find him a nice place to stay."

"You should be asking what isn't wrong with it." Without even looking at him, Schiller hurried downstairs. "Why would you think Alexander Luthor is building a Mechanical Corps to destroy the Electronic Life?"
"Then what is it for?"
"To turn it into a weapon, obviously. Catch it one second, have it command the Mechanical Corps the next, overthrow the president, and become the leader of the Federation himself."
"How would he control it?"
"If he has a way to confine it inside a body, then naturally he has a way to control it. Even if he can't control it, he can negotiate terms. All he needs is to bring down the president."
