Chapter 3981: MU Superhuman Major Event (61)
"There's still one most troublesome problem," Main Universe Batman said. "We're fighting on the road, which means we have no foundation whatsoever in their territory. All equipment and energy will have to be brought in ourselves. Equipment is easy enough—we can send it directly through portals—but energy will probably have to be exchanged through the conversion system. The current exchange rate is not looking good."
The other Batmen began discussing the issue as well. Actually, judging by the numbers alone, the exchange rate was fairly decent right now, around 1:3 to 1:4. In other words, one unit of DC energy could be exchanged for three to four units of Marvel energy. It looked like a bargain, but in reality, it was nothing of the sort.
The DC universe was too young. Since New 52 began, the universe had not experienced any major events, so its energy level had not risen and it had remained in a state of deflation. Moreover, magical energy here cost significantly more than it did next door. You got what you paid for—one unit of cost could only buy one unit of energy.
Over at Marvel, there were many wandering Cosmic Demons, and the universe's energy level was inherently higher than DC's. Mages could also simply seize energy by force, obtaining three or four units without paying much of a price. So the exchange rate was reasonable.
Still, it would be a loss if they were going to war. Energy on their side was hard to come by, while energy next door was cheap. Exchanging it away would not only leave their own side short on energy, but might also trigger inflation next door. The Cosmic Administrators on the other side might not permit that.
Batwoman thought for a
