Sitting in his seat, Schiller watched as the people from their universe actually began reflecting on themselves. He could not help shaking his head, but he did not interrupt them.
Main Universe Doctor Strange's rhetoric was not particularly brilliant; if anything, it was somewhat deliberate. Anyone even slightly clever would soon notice something was off. But Stark, Doom, and the others did not step forward to refute him because they had no intention of turning this place into a battlefield for politicians' debates. That would have played right into his hands.
The silence dragged on for too long, completely cooling the atmosphere. The rebuttals Main Universe Doctor Strange had anticipated never came. The ordinary human governments merely exchanged a few quiet words. Captain America also spoke to the other Captain Americas, but not one of them paid him any attention.
After quite a while, Captain America finally tapped the microphone again and said, "What you said makes some sense. We admit that, because time was short, coordination between the various units was insufficient, which led to communication problems. But we also hope you understand that disobeying orders on the battlefield is a charge that cannot be erased, even if you had an excellent reason and achieved good results in the end. What is more, your disobedience caused enormous losses."
"I told you, I did not trust Asgard because you had not established proper channels of communication, and your subsequent handling was too heavy-handed."
"Yes, I said we acknowledge that," Captain America repeated. "But what we are discussing now is your disobedience."
Seeing that Doctor Strange still did not seem to understand, Captain America had no choice but to say, "Once you are in a military court, there is no room to refute any charge brought against you, because no reason
