Sometimes, the phrase "the greatest truths are the simplest" had an even simpler explanation: flashy-looking battles often meant neither side could do anything to the other, so they could only fire energy blasts from afar. Whenever they could get close, the best attack was a direct punch to the face. Any intelligent creature with a brain would be dazed for two seconds when its central core was attacked.
Nightmare Darkseid was exactly like that. He had never expected Mechanical Overlord Iron Man to open with a punch. That utterly plain straight punch carried crushing force, and with one blow, his nasal bone nearly flew out through the back of his head.
Darkseid really was dazed for two seconds. During those two seconds, the power of the Will of the Gods invaded Nightmare Power on a massive scale. Countless threads instantly calculated countless methods, continuously building simulations and searching for a breakthrough.
Every kind of power in the world had something called computing power. For example, there was a fixed limit to the reality a certain amount of Scarlet Power could manifest at any given moment; even the Scarlet Witch could not exceed that limit. The dreamscape created by a unit of Dream Power was likewise limited and could not expand without end. This was a law of the universe.
Whether Scarlet Power or Dream Power, when used against ordinary intelligent beings, its limitations were practically nonexistent. No matter how many people were brought in to dream, they could not exceed the limits of their computing power, because the ceiling was simply too high. Nightmare Power was the same.
However, ordinary intelligent beings being unable to break through those limits did not mean the Will of the Gods could not. As mentioned before, the Will of the Gods followed another path
