"Hello, hello, Collector. I'd heard so much about you. Please, have a seat and try some of Earth's finest wine." Schiller invited the Collector to the sofa, then went to open the wine.
The Collector said irritably, "When I received your invitation, I could hardly believe it. You humans looted my vault, stole my gems, and now you're actually inviting me over as a guest!"
"All right, don't be angry. You know there was a war going on then. We had no choice. Besides, we didn't take any of your other collections, did we? As long as the items are still there, it's fine."
"But don't blame me for being blunt. Your vault really isn't very secure. Everyone in the universe knows the Collector's name. They all know that if they want treasures, they should look for you. Before, they feared your reputation and no one dared make a move. But once you were robbed, they learned you were a soft target. There'll be a second time, then a third. Hiding like this isn't a solution."
The Collector wanted to say, "Why don't you think about who the real culprit is?" But he knew there was no point in saying something so spiteful. Let alone him, even if all the Cosmic Elders were lumped together, they still could not defeat humanity. He would never be able to take revenge.
Besides, compared to revenge, he wanted more to protect his vast collection of treasures. But just as Schiller had said, once someone noticed a hole in the barrel, more holes would appear.
