"What are you two so flustered about?" Overlord Superman asked with a frown.
"Uh, nothing." Selene cleared her throat. "Are you two all right? Did you find anything in the spaceship?"
"You don't need to know," Overlord Superman said. "You two look awfully sneaky. Don't tell me you went off stealing things?"
Selene changed the subject. "You don't need to head in the direction we came from. We already searched everything there. Which way are you planning to go?"
"That has nothing to do with you," Overlord Superman said. "A thief is a thief, always sneaking around and doing shady things. I'm not teaming up with you."
With that, he turned and left. Bruce immediately started cursing in the command room. Selene comforted him, saying, "All right, his organization eliminated every crime on Earth, including theft. I knew he wouldn't like me. Don't argue with him. Let's go."
"Since when did you become so mild-tempered?" Bruce asked suspiciously. "When I called you a thief, you nearly gouged out my eyeballs. Why are you so easygoing when it's this guy? Don't tell me you think his uniform looks good too?"
By the last sentence, Bruce sounded a little sour. His next sentence reeked even more strongly of jealousy. "Last time Clark came to ask whether he should change the color of his uniform, he must have seen the Justice Lords' white uniforms and thought they looked good, which was why he wanted to change his too.
