Lex and Bruce both gathered around the young man, but neither of them moved to help him up. They were observing his condition instead. After all, both the timing and manner of his appearance were far too strange.

"Sorry, could you help me up? I'm not feeling too well." The young man coughed twice before speaking.

Bruce did not move. He merely stood where he was and asked, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"

"My name is Clark, Clark Kent. I told you already, I'm a student from Metropolis. I saw the house smoking from my dorm, so I came to put out the fire."

The young man named Clark sighed and continued, "I just started college this year. My student ID is in my pocket. You can take it out and check. I'm not lying."

Bruce walked over and searched Clark's pockets. Sure enough, he found a student ID. It read, "Metropolis University, First-Year Student, Clark Kent, Journalism and Communications Major."

He put the student ID into his own pocket, then stepped forward and helped Clark up. Supporting him, he led Clark out of the wrecked reception room and into a guest room next door.

Clark lay on the bed and rested for a while. He seemed to feel better afterward, so he removed the gas mask from his face, revealing a handsome, striking face every bit as impressive as Bruce's.

He took several deep breaths, then rubbed his chest and said, "Damn it, how did I..."

Just then, someone knocked on the guest room door. Lex, standing by the door, opened it and found Schiller outside.
