While Diana was concentrating on her emails, an unfamiliar call came in. She picked it up and said, "Hello?"
"It's me, Ms. Prince. We've met before. We know you're in a bit of trouble now. We can help you solve it. Don't you really want to come meet us?"
Although Diana wanted to meet them, she knew she had to play dumb a few more times before they would reveal their true purpose. So she said coldly, "Is that the only trick you know? You frame people, create trouble for them, then pretend you can help solve it. I don't need your help!"
After hanging up, Diana thought it over carefully. She felt that these people were trying the same old intimidation tactics again, but something seemed off—what could possibly require her specifically to do it?
Besides, if they really wanted her to do something that could get her killed, this threat was rather weak. She did not want to give up her position at the Museum, but even if she were fired, it would not be the end of the world. At worst, she could go fry French fries at a fast-food restaurant. Hal would be more than happy to have her as a coworker.
After thinking for a long time, Diana still could not figure it out. She continued reviewing the surveillance footage, following the black car all the way to western Metropolis. Bruce's surveillance coverage was truly impressive. Before long, Diana found the car in an abandoned parking lot.
Of course, the robbers and the mural were long gone, but finding the car was still a major breakthrough. She checked the vehicle first and found no useful clues, so she called the police and continued watching the surveillance footage.
Once they had reached this point, there was
