Inside the Batplane, the roar of the engines was so loud that Hal had to shout, "Even if you can fly a plane, why did you bring them along?!"
Hal turned and looked behind him through the seatbacks. There were actually two child seats behind the cockpit, with Dick and Aisha strapped into them.
"Flying in a fighter jet is too dangerous for kids!" Hal shouted.

Alfred yanked hard on the control stick, accelerating the jet once more. Yet Dick and Aisha, seated in the back, barely reacted.
Dick, who possessed Green Lantern energy, and Aisha, who was no ordinary person herself, were not afraid of this level of turbulence. They even craned their necks from their seats, curiously studying the control panels ahead.

Just as he had said before, flying a plane and driving a car were completely different things. Professional pilots needed professional training. While some people were exceptionally gifted and found flying as simple as driving, a novice and a veteran could be distinguished at a glance.
Gotham was not far from Metropolis. They were the two closest major cities, so before long, the vague outlines of urban buildings could be seen through the Batplane's cockpit.
"There's no control tower! How are we supposed to land?!" Hal shouted.
Alfred did not answer. He merely turned his head and looked down
