"Where did they go?"

In one of the manor's rooms, Benjamin turned to a female agent and asked. Kayla hesitated before saying, "The agents didn't find any trace of them. We suspect they may have already left the main building of the manor."

"Didn't I tell you to keep an eye on them?"

"They pulled a little trick and shook off our agents. They didn't look like they were going to investigate a spy at all."

"Of course I know." Benjamin's tone remained low, but there was no anger at having been played. He said, "Because I never intended to calm the crowd either."
