"Boom!!!!!"

After the tremendous crash came an endless rolling earthquake. The trembling ground made it hard to stand. Schiller and Deathstroke both fell to the floor. Only after the shaking stopped and the two of them climbed back up did they realize Joseph was gone.

"He ran pretty fast." Schiller shook out his hands and looked toward the window again. The bright meteor was gone, but all of Cairo had been jolted awake. The meteor had fallen to the southwest, and everyone was looking in that direction.

"That's the desert over there, right?" Deathstroke asked, also looking out the window.

Egypt's Nile River basin was relatively fertile, but the farther inland one went, the more barren it became. It was basically vast stretches of desert, with no decent cities to speak of. And southwest of Cairo should have been desert too.

"Let's go. Take a look." Schiller cast one last glance at the mural. The light on the mural had gone out, and it looked perfectly ordinary now, but it had to have been the mural's anomaly that had drawn the meteor.

"This really is one hell of a problem," Deathstroke said. "You didn't say anything about a meteor."

"You didn't say your son was a Superpower User either, or that he'd go insane targeting me because of you. Without him, I'd have shipped this troublesome thing back to the United States by now."

Deathstroke had no reply.

Deathstroke and Schiller came out of the Museum. The moonlight was very bright tonight, and at that moment, many civilians had come out of their homes, looking toward the direction where the meteor had fallen and discussing something among themselves.

Not everyone had seen the meteor, but everyone was certain the accident had not happened in Cairo. It should have been somewhere
