Before setting out, Schiller gathered with the rest of the Immoral Quartet for a meeting. Since time was tight, they did not have the leisure to go soak in the hot springs under the World Tree again, so they met directly at Arkham Asylum.
"What the heck?!" Nick said. "Those people from the Main Universe actually sent a message saying they'd already gone over, and that the other universes had better not follow. Who do they think they are?"
"That attitude isn't exactly new," Strange said, lifting his gaze from the medical record page. He sighed. "Sometimes I really envy the world next door. At least Batman doesn't treat himself like the lord of the multiverse."
"Facts prove that harmonious multiverse we imagined simply doesn't exist," Loki said. "When there are more people, there are more problems. They can start arguing over anything. Besides, not one of the superheroes on our side is an absolute leader like Batman. If no one can keep the room under control, the result is demons dancing everywhere."
"Don't bring up that side," Schiller said. "They haven't had it easy lately either. Not only did a cosmic chain-reaction series of Car Accidents happen, but a hole was also blown in the Origin Wall. The Batmen are still trying to figure out how to patch it."
They all sighed in unison. Every family had its own troubles. On Marvel's side, people were divided, and everyone wanted to fight for leadership of the multiverse. There were already signs of infighting. On DC's side, although the system was already clearly defined, there were plenty of troublemakers too.
