Krakoa was a beautiful little island cut off from the world. Most of the island was shrouded in lush ancient plants, and crystal-clear streams flowed into rivers, while the rivers ran toward the inner bay that gleamed like sapphire. The white sand beach was dyed a warm orange by the twilight, and the meadows shimmered with faint golden light. Every view spoke of the beauty of this paradise beyond the world.
This was a true mutant island. Because Krakoa itself was alive. It was an ancient totem with intelligence, one that accepted only mutants. After Genosha, built by Magneto, was destroyed, this living island became the mutants' final utopia.
"This is completely different from what I imagined." Stark looked at the crystal dome covered in countless emerald-green vines and sighed. "Looks like I misjudged you. This really is a good tourist destination."
Twilight fell through the crystal dome, casting winding, mysterious pale-green patterns onto the ground. They rippled softly like water, making the place look almost like some mysterious undersea palace. Clearly, this had been carefully designed. The mutants seemed determined to turn this place into a beautiful home.
Schiller stopped and looked outside. Beyond the door was a sea of thriving green. Some beautiful glowing plants swayed amid the layered emerald valleys. The fragrance of trees and flowers drifted in together with the damp mist from the fountain pools, and along with it came a tall figure.
When Magneto walked in, Stark almost did not recognize him. Because he was not wearing his usual black at all, but the complete opposite: silver armor. His cape was like golden silk in the twilight, and beneath the shadow of his mask was a face younger than expected.
