House of X: Fall (Six)
"Where did you get all this?" Schiller asked, looking at the files on Stark's desk in some surprise.
Their guest room was a suite, meaning two bedrooms opened into the same living room. Right now, Stark was at the round table in the center of the living room, studying the documents spread all over it.
Most of them were extremely complicated blueprints, packed with so many numbers and letters they made people dizzy. Some of it was not even English, but strange writing from who knew where, as if it were an alien language. Schiller found it familiar, but could not remember why.
While Stark studied, Schiller looked around the living room. The decor was still full of naturalist style. At the far left was a floor-to-ceiling window. Though night had already fallen, the moonlight was still bright, and the glowing plants swayed faintly.
The round table had been placed by the window. Bookshelves stood on both sides, while the sofa was set near the door, with one bedroom to the left and one to the right. Most of the furniture was wooden, carved with patterns of vines and flowers.
The chandelier hanging above the round table was very beautiful. It consisted of six lampshades shaped like lilies of the valley, giving off a bright but gentle glow. The light did not look as if it came from bulbs produced by modern technology either. Though the shades faced downward to gather the light, there were no obvious boundaries to the illuminated patches. It looked more like a product of magic.
Schiller did not know if it was his imagination, but he saw the vines on the lamp move slightly, as if greeting him. Schiller waved back at it, but the vines stopped moving again.
