The Anti-Gravity Laboratory was located beneath the island of Krakoa. It looked like a transparent hemisphere fastened to the underside of the island. Everything inside was upside down, but once you walked in, because of the gravity, it felt no different from being on the ground.

When Schiller walked in, he saw a woman with golden-brown hair wearing a researcher's uniform. He understood that every story about the mutants in this universe had begun because of her. Moira's nine reincarnations were the most important reason Professor X had resolved to found a nation on Krakoa.

Moira was a special mutant. She had lived through nine reincarnations and had seen every tragic ending the mutants could meet. And in one of those lives, someone told her she could not reincarnate forever. There would only be ten lives. If, in her final life, they still could not defeat the mutants' great enemy, Nimrod, both she and the mutants would cease to exist.

She told Professor X this story. Professor X understood that the mutants had no other choice. And so the two of them visited Magneto, who had already chosen to live in seclusion away from the world, and set out on the journey to build utopia once more.

When Schiller walked in, Moira was the first to turn back. She looked shocked, but Professor X had already sensed something. He turned to look at Schiller. He was not wearing the fourth-generation Cerebro amplifier he had always worn, the huge Helmet with the X symbol that could be placed directly on his head.

"Yes," Professor X said. "The United Nations voting assembly is the day after tomorrow. With the strike team wiped out, I'm afraid we'll only receive vetoes."

"Forget the United Nations assembly,"
