Main Universe Iron Man glanced at Professor X with a hint of wariness, pressed his lips together, and said nothing to him. He only said to Quicksilver behind the bar, "Get me a Martini, kid."
Quicksilver said nothing and started mixing his drink. Once it was ready, he set it on the counter, and two mouthfuls later, it was gone. Quicksilver said helplessly, "If you're trying to drown your sorrows, don't drink cocktails. How about some whiskey?"
Main Universe Iron Man waved a hand, and Quicksilver opened a bottle of whiskey for him. He did not even want ice, just drank straight from the bottle, then nearly spat it out after one sip. "What the hell is this? Is this alcohol?!"
"Krakoa is far from the mainland, transportation is inconvenient, and the cost is high. So our purchasing standards for outside supplies aren't exactly high. They definitely can't meet your requirements," Professor X explained. "We have to spend our money where it's more useful."
Fortunately, Iron Man was not here to taste wine. After Quicksilver gave him an ice ball, he downed another glass. The tipsy dizziness brought on by alcohol actually calmed him down somewhat and loosened his tongue.
"I thought Stephen and I got along really well. In the Avengers, the two of us were best friends and staunch allies. He always supported all my plans and did everything he could to help me achieve my goals. And it went both ways."
"You were very lucky," Professor X said. "If you're a good person in the eyes of the general public, it's easy for you to make friends. But if you're more of a maverick, then finding a like-minded friend takes a little luck."
