At an arcade on the edge of Hell's Kitchen, a small yellow figure jumped onto a machine. After skillfully dropping two coins into the slot, he worked the joystick and buttons with both hands and feet.
Before long, a shadow suddenly fell across the arcade cabinet's controls. Pikachu, focused intently on controlling his character, did not notice someone had come up behind him.
With his tiny yellow hands, he shoved the joystick hard while constantly stomping the buttons with his feet. He had practically turned the arcade machine into a dance game, yet the character on the screen pulled off a dazzling combo.
Just as Pikachu was about to finish off his opponent, his hands and feet suddenly dangled in midair, still making motions of pushing the joystick and stepping on buttons.
As the character on the screen was KO'd without anyone controlling it, Pikachu flailed wildly, but it was useless. The enraged yellow mouse bit down on the hand holding him up.
An agonized howl came from behind him. A man in a black-and-red uniform, with a longsword strapped to his back, clutched his hand, bent over, pigeon-toed, and cried out in pain.
"Wilson! Are you insane?!" Pikachu shouted. "Didn't you see I was about to win??"
The man called Wilson shook out his hand and said, "How many times do I have to tell you? Call me Deadpool. Also, even though we're both played by Ryan Reynolds, that doesn't mean you can casually call Deadpool by his name..."
"Are you sick?" Pikachu said with his arms crossed. "Get lost if you have nothing better to do! Stop interrupting my game!"
"Do you even remember that you're a detective? You're practically a professional Player now." Deadpool shoved Pikachu aside and said, "Don't think I didn't see how terrible you
