Strange and Stark both froze where they stood.
Strange's mouth fell open. He stepped forward and said, "Th-This can be taken off? Is it a physical object? Isn't it supposed to be a halo made of energy?"
Schiller casually handed the halo to him, but Strange did not dare take it. He leaned closer for a look and found that the halo really was solid. The light around it was rich and intense, but the light at its center was weaker, like a ring-shaped light strip.
Stark took the halo from Schiller's hand and weighed it in his palm. It was not heavy, weighing roughly the same as an equal-sized piece of Vibranium.
It had no texture at all to the touch, as if its temperature and roughness were exactly the same as the surface of his fingers. Even while holding it, it felt like he was holding nothing.
"What is this? What did you make it from?" Stark repeatedly inspected the halo. "Its properties are rather strange. The material doesn't seem to be any known metal..."
Schiller cleared his throat and said:
"Just a few days ago, I offered God a sacrifice that greatly pleased him and requested a visit to Heaven. Unfortunately, he refused."
"At that point, I could only settle for less and ask for God's blessing, but he refused that as well. Of course, I was unwilling to ask more of the greatest and most benevolent Savior, so I received the status of an Angel instead."
Schiller snapped his fingers, and the halo returned to his head. Stark had not seen how it moved at all. He had not even noticed when it vanished from his hand.
Schiller took the halo off his head again and said, "Clearly, I am now a glorious Angel, and not
