Around five or six in the afternoon, during twilight, Gotham had its best weather. Occasionally, you could even see the sunset over the sea.

The lingering light of the setting sun could pierce through layer upon layer of rain clouds and shine into this Dark City. So calling it the City of Night was inaccurate. It was more like a Twilight City.

At sunset, in that bewitching hour, the sunlight always draped everything it touched in a veil of mystery and dreamlike beauty. White paper turned a lovely gold beneath the light, and even the black words on it began to shimmer.

Though the text had become beautiful to look at, its contents were no less headache-inducing. Schiller held a stack of theses in his hands, his brow tightly furrowed.

Schiller shook his head. "Those aren't the only problems. You've only seen the introduction. The introduction was the only part he wrote seriously. Look here.
